We want your Disneyland holiday to be as memorable as can be. Take note of some useful safety tips during your visit.
Take Pictures of the group on arrival
Wearing clothing of the same color on your park visit is an easy way to identify your family members in a crowd. A current picture taken on the day is great to assist authorities in locating a lost family member.
Meeting Place
Sit down with your group and select a prearranged meeting area that everyone is familiar with and knows how to find easily. If you want to visit different places at the same time, set a schedule when everyone must gather. Should the group get separated, everyone knows how to find your meeting spot.
Identification
Make sure that all children have some form of contact information on them. It is best to pin it inside their clothing or write it on the inside of their arm and cover with clear nail polish. This is to prevent it from washing off with sweat and during water rides. The information containing the name of the child. If there are any medical concerns and finally the contact number of the parent will make the search a lot easier.
Teach children to identify Cast Members
Teach young children to identify park employees and cast members. Should there be an emergency, or they should get lost, talk to them about finding a trustworthy source, a staff or cast member, and approach them for help. Park employees are trained to assist and children should feel safe going to them for help.
Always protect your Wallet
Pick pocketers are everywhere, even in the park. Wear a neck wallet or fanny pack containing your money, identification, family pictures, etc. The best place for your bag of choice is in front of your body. Do not worry, fanny packs, also called waist bags, are still in style at Disneyland.
Remember your water and sunscreen. The summer sun can be extremely hot, depending on the time of year and it is highly recommended to drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. Another great idea is to apply sunscreen throughout the day as it can wash off with sweat and water rides.
