This year’s theme is Highways to Heaven, and he’ll feel in paradise as you explore muscle, vintage and collector cars. It’s the perfect “consolation” as Petersen Automotive Museum is under renovation!
The LA Roadsters Show and Swap at the Fairplex in Pomona also takes place on Father’s Day Weekend, the ideal spot to find that roadster of his dreams. Antique parts are also on hand as you pore over hundreds of vintage cars. For the dad who loves to cook, check out Hipcooks’ The Thrill of the Grill Cooking Class where he can learn a few new tricks.

If the special guy in your life loves the outdoors, try Marina Del Rey Parasailing where he can select a 600 or 800 foot ride soaring above the Venice Beach coastline to the Santa Monica Pier. Kids are welcome but have to ride with adults. First, enjoy a boat ride beyond the crashing waves before setting sail to get a glimpse of southern California in a very unique way!
Otherwise, stay a little closer to the water with a kayak class and tour on Mother’s Beach operated by REI. Every Saturday, this class is open to students at least 12 years old and teaches foundational moves, strokes, and how to prep your kayaking gear before taking to the water.
