Over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing you to some of our policing efforts throughout Anaheim. Our city is diverse and community members’ concerns vary by neighborhood. This week we’d like to introduce you to our Tourist Oriented Policing, or TOP detail. This team works in the resort district to liaison with the visitors of Anaheim and our local business partners. Our TOP Detectives vary their working hours and since the weather is finally nice, they’ll be spending some time on bike’s again, riding in the area. Although the area hotels, restaurants and businesses are not currently serving guests, they’re far from deserted. They still have employees and security onsite 24/7 to deter crime. Our TOP Detectives are working with these business owners to help make sure they aren’t future victims of crimes. Keep an eye on our social media to see how we’re working with our community in another part of town, in the next few days. Also, watch out for our virtual Coffee-with-a-Cop events, streaming live on Facebook and Instagram were you can interact with our officers and get answers to your police related questions. Meals on Wheels Orange County

Senior citizens living in their own homes need not worry about how they will get their daily food because Meals on Wheels Orange County will deliver it to them. This organization has been serving nutritious meals to the elderly and persons with disabilities for over fifty years.

Orange County Conservation Corps

Orange County Conservation Corps is a charitable institution that trains, employs and educates at risk adults. These adults at risk are people with psychological issues, physical, learning and hearing disabilities as well as other sicknesses that prevent them from being able to take care of their own wellbeing.

Patriots and Paws

Patriots and Paws, like its namesake, provides military veterans (Patriots) with their own rescued animals (Paws) for them to train as a service animal. This free matching helps military personnel have a comforting four-legged companion and get back on their feet after serving the country.

These are just a few among the many nonprofit organizations you can choose to support so that they could effectively serve the people of Anaheim.
